The integration of eRecruiter with Microsoft Entra ID, thanks to its simplicity, can be launched more easily and faster than the SAML 2.0 integration. Everything comes down to the IT administrator granting consent for the application in Microsoft Entra ID.
Integration of eRecruiter with Microsoft Entra ID
To enable Microsoft corporate login in eRecruiter, follow the steps below:
The eRecruiter administrator goes to Settings > Login and selects Start MS Entra ID configuration.
The system displays a message intended for the IT administrator, together with a link for granting the eRecruiter application permission to access the organization.
The link should be forwarded to the appropriate person in the IT department who manages the Microsoft Entra ID environment.
The IT administrator opens the link, logs in to Microsoft, and approves the required permissions for the application.
Once consent is granted successfully, the integration in eRecruiter will be marked as active.
At this stage, logging in with Entra ID is already possible, but it is not yet enforced for the organization.
For a test login, the user should go to Settings in eRecruiter and, in the Log in with corporate account (SSO) section, click Connect.
The user will be redirected to Microsoft’s page to confirm their identity. Depending on the organization’s login policies, they may be required to enter corporate credentials, or authentication may happen automatically.
After the process is completed successfully, the user will return to eRecruiter, and the Connect button will change to Disconnect, confirming that the accounts have been linked correctly.
The user can then log out and test the login using the Sign in with Microsoft button.
If the organization wants to simplify the rollout for all employees, the next step is to enable enforced domain login for the entire company. In this model, future account links will be created automatically during user login.
