What is domain login?

Domain login allows users to authenticate using their organization’s centrally managed domain account. This means a single account can be used to access multiple applications and services. It simplifies the login process because users rely on their organizational credentials instead of separate usernames and passwords assigned specifically to the eRecruiter system.

What are the benefits?

Domain login streamlines authentication by enabling access to multiple systems with one account. Users no longer need to remember multiple usernames and passwords, nor do they have to comply with separate password policies for each service. The IT department can centrally manage passwords, permissions, and security policies. An additional advantage is the ability to implement enhanced security mechanisms such as Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA).

What domain login solutions does eRecruiter currently offer?

Currently, we provide two login options for our clients:
Microsoft Entra ID - click to see instruction,
SAML 2.0 - click to see instruction

Microsoft Entra ID is a cloud-based identity and access management service provided by Microsoft. It is best suited for organizations that rely on Microsoft’s cloud infrastructure and services. The integration with eRecruiter is straightforward. An administrator in eRecruiter sends a dedicated link to the IT department. After opening the link, the IT administrator only needs to grant consent to the eRecruiter application within Microsoft Entra ID. That is all. From that moment, users can log in to the system using their Microsoft Entra ID profiles. Once the integration is enabled, the system does not immediately enforce the new login method, allowing the organization time for testing and communication before making it mandatory.

SAML 2.0 is an open standard for Single Sign-On (SSO) that transfers authentication data between an identity provider and the eRecruiter system. Due to its open nature, it enables integration between solutions from different vendors. However, because it is a more flexible and generic standard, the integration with eRecruiter typically requires more effort from the IT department.

Which solution should you choose?

The choice depends on the identity provider used in your organization. If your company primarily uses Microsoft cloud services, Microsoft Entra ID is the most efficient option due to its ease of integration and centralized user management. If your organization uses other solutions that support the SAML 2.0 standard, then SAML 2.0 will be the appropriate choice.

How to enable domain login?

A user with Administrator permissions should log in to the system and navigate to Settings → Login. This section contains all the necessary information required to configure each available option.
